The invention discloses a method for preparing magnesia-calcium sand from high-silicon magnesite tailings, which comprises the following steps of: a, crushing the high-silicon magnesite tailings, adding water to form high-silicon magnesite tailings pulp, adding the high-silicon magnesite tailings pulp into a flotation machine, adding a flotation agent into the flotation machine, and starting the flotation machine to remove iron and silicon from the high-silicon magnesite tailings; and b, drying the high-silicon magnesite tailings, and calcining the dried high-silicon magnesite tailings in a combustion furnace. The method has the advantages that the process is simple, the labor intensity is reduced, the equipment requirement is low, special synthesis equipment and a treatment technology are not needed, and the synthesized magnesia-calcium sand has the advantages of high purity, wide application range, good sintering performance, excellent hydration resistance and no influence on the high-temperature use performance of the magnesia-calcium sand; the magnesium-calcium sand can be produced and prepared through one-step calcination, fuel can be remarkably saved, the cost is effectively reduced, waste tailings are effectively utilized, and pollution is reduced.
