The invention relates to a masonry structure concrete column reinforced by newly added steel frames and a construction method thereof. The masonry structure concrete column comprises an original concrete column, newly added angle steel frames, angle steel cross braces, connecting steel plates, angle steel stiffening ribs and chemical anchor bolts. The newly-added angle steel frame, the original concrete column and the original wall body are respectively implanted into steel bar embedding holes of the original concrete column and the original wall body through chemical anchor bolts for fixation; two ends of the connecting steel plate are respectively welded on the newly-added angle steel frame; the two ends of the angle steel cross brace are respectively welded on the newly-added angle steel frame; the two ends of the angle steel stiffening rib are welded to the newly-added angle steel frame and the angle steel cross brace respectively. The method has the most remarkable advantages that the overall anti-seismic capacity of an original structure can be improved, and new and old structures jointly bear the earthquake action, so that the toughness of a house is enhanced, and structural collapse is prevented.
