The invention discloses an aerogel fibrofelt and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: providing a fibrofelt, placing a plurality of space occupying molds arranged at intervals on the fibrofelt, pouring a molding agent into the space occupying molds, forming pre-occupied spaces arranged at intervals on the fibrofelt, filling gaps between the adjacent pre-occupied spaces with aerogel slurry, and forming the aerogel fibrofelt. After sufficient curing, drying is carried out, the molding agent in the pre-occupied position is removed, the occupied position mold is taken out from the fiber felt, and the aerogel fiber felt is prepared; according to the invention, the aerogel is adopted as a main body material and is compounded with the fiber felt, so that the process can ensure that all the components are tightly combined, the material has better stability in the transportation and use process, the tensile strength and compressive strength of the material are improved, the possibility of particle falling and powder falling is reduced, and the compounding strength of the aerogel fiber felt is improved; the application range is greatly expanded, and mass production and commercialization are facilitated.
