The invention relates to a ramie reinforced calcium silicate building material and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of calcium silicate building materials, the ramie reinforced calcium silicate building material comprises the following raw materials by weight: 30-45 parts of quartz sand, 25-35 parts of Portland cement, 10-15 parts of kaolinite powder, 10-18 parts of modified ramie fiber, 0.5-0.8 part of perlite and 4-5 parts of a curing agent; a silane coupling agent of the polyurethane intermediate is coupled with ramie fibers, so that on one hand, the hydrophilicity of the ramie fibers is reduced, the bonding strength of the ramie fibers and a calcium silicate matrix is improved, and on the other hand, a layer of protective film can be formed on the surfaces of the ramie fibers, and hydration products of calcium silicate are isolated from the ramie fibers; the durability of the ramie fiber in the calcium silicate building material is effectively improved; and isolated double bonds and flexible long chains in the polyurethane intermediate can be embedded into interlayer areas of the calcium silicate matrix to form an ordered multi-layer structure, so that the reinforcing effect is further enhanced.
