The method comprises the following steps that S1, a foundation structure of the slope protection is designed, and the foundation structure comprises the excavation depth and size of a foundation trench; s2, a foundation trench is excavated according to the design scheme, and a gravel layer is laid on the surface of the foundation trench; s3, a gabion cage is piled on the gravel layer; s4, the constructed protection slope is protected through a water conservancy protection slope protection device; slope protection plants are planted on the cultivation box, through holes are formed in the upper portion and the lower portion of the cultivation box, and the lower portion of the cultivation box communicates with the slope protection base body, so that soil in the slope protection base body can absorb oxygen, and plant growth is facilitated; the roots of the plants are guided and dredged through the guide pipes during growth, so that the consolidation capacity of the slope protection can be improved; the open grooves in the inner surface of the cultivation box can provide more oxygen for the root hairs in the guide pipes, and growth of the root hairs is promoted.
