The invention relates to the technical field of slope protection, in particular to a hydraulic engineering slope protection construction method which comprises the following steps: step 1, cleaning a slope surface, namely cutting off weeds on the slope surface by using a mower, and removing broken stones and the like on the slope surface after the weeds are removed; secondly, the slope surface is leveled, potholes in the slope surface are filled according to the design angle of the slope surface, soil transfer is conducted on protrusions on the slope surface till the slope surface is leveled, and the angle meets the design angle; thirdly, concrete pouring is conducted, latticed concrete is poured on the leveled slope surface, and after the concrete is dried, a layer of loose sand is laid in grids formed by the concrete; fourthly, the protective building bricks are stacked, and after the protective building bricks are moved to preset positions through auxiliary carrying equipment, the protective building bricks are laid manually; and fifthly, after the protective building bricks are laid, the slope surface is covered with a protective net, water and soil of the slope surface are kept stable, and slope surface collapse caused by water and soil loss is avoided.
