The invention provides a reinforcing steel bar binding robot capable of automatically changing a rail, the reinforcing steel bar binding robot comprises a mounting frame, and a walking mechanism, a rail changing mechanism and a binding mechanism which are arranged on the mounting frame, and the walking mechanism is used for driving the robot to move in the X direction; the rail changing mechanism comprises a first supporting assembly, a second supporting assembly and a translation assembly, the first supporting assembly and the second supporting assembly can be alternately supported on the reinforcing mesh, the contact faces of the first supporting assembly and the second supporting assembly with the reinforcing mesh are flat and straight faces, and the translation assembly is connected with the first supporting assembly or the second supporting assembly. The robot is driven to move in the Y direction. And the binding mechanism is used for binding reinforcing steel bars. According to the reinforcing steel bar binding robot capable of automatically changing the rail, the first supporting assembly and the second supporting assembly are alternately supported on a reinforcing steel bar net and are in linkage with the translation assembly to drive the robot to move in the Y direction, and therefore automatic rail changing of the robot is achieved.
