The invention discloses a friction damper and a friction energy dissipation outrigger truss, and relates to the technical field of constructions.The friction damper comprises a friction main plate, friction plates and an outer cover plate, and the two friction plates are arranged on the outer side of the friction main plate; and an outer cover plate is fixedly arranged on the outer side part of the friction plate. The friction energy dissipation outrigger truss comprises the friction damper and an outrigger truss, and one side of the outrigger truss is fixedly connected with a core tube shear wall. The other side of the spring is hinged with the end part of the friction damper; and the side part of the friction damper is fixedly arranged on the giant column. According to the friction energy dissipation outrigger truss, the displacement amplification device and the friction type energy dissipation device are used in a combined mode, relative displacement can be amplified, and the energy dissipation capacity of a friction device is improved. Meanwhile, the multiple friction devices are arranged, friction force needing to be provided by the friction devices is reduced while displacement is amplified, and the friction devices are made to be smaller in size and easier to manufacture.
