The invention provides a self-resetting friction energy dissipation damper, and belongs to the field of structural vibration reduction or anti-seismic devices. The first layer of the friction device is a friction plate, the second layer is two friction blocks, and the third layer is a friction plate; disc spring baffles B are fixed to the two sides of the outer sleeve, the two sides of the inner sleeve make contact with the disc spring baffles B, push pipes are arranged on the outer sides of the disc spring baffles B respectively, and anchoring plates are arranged on the outer sides of the push pipes. The guide rod penetrates through the disc spring and is anchored to the disc spring baffle B and the disc spring baffle A. One side of the screw rod is anchored to the disc spring baffle A, and the other side of the screw rod is anchored to the anchoring plate on the far side. According to the invention, restoring force is provided for the resetting device through friction force variation generated by the friction device under the action of external reciprocating load, so that compression deformation of the disc spring caused by pre-compression applied to the disc spring in the damper during installation can be reduced.
