The invention relates to a power system for a watering vehicle, the watering vehicle and a control method, the power system comprises a power assembly, the power assembly comprises a gearbox, the side face of the gearbox is provided with a power takeoff in transmission connection with an intermediate shaft of the gearbox, and an output shaft of the power takeoff is connected with a watering pump through an electromagnetic clutch; the control unit comprises a controller electrically connected with the electromagnetic clutch, and when the controller obtains that the gearbox is in the neutral gear and the rotating speed of the output shaft of the gearbox is larger than a set threshold value, the electromagnetic clutch is controlled to disconnect the power takeoff and the sprinkling pump. According to the power system for the watering cart, the gearbox and the load can be automatically disconnected to meet the requirement of free gear shifting when the watering cart moves and shifts gears without changing the operation habit of a driver. The situation that gear shifting needs to be carried out after parking when an existing watering cart is driven to take off power is avoided, the operation intensity of a driver is reduced, the working efficiency and safety of vehicle operation are improved, and meanwhile the service life of the clutch is prolonged.
