The invention provides a titanium dioxide industry waste acid treatment method, which comprises two innovative processes, namely a two-step method for adjusting the pH value of waste acid and a crystal transformation method. The preparation method comprises the following specific preparation steps: waste acid filtration, preparation of low-carbon titanium gypsum through a one-step neutralization reaction, preparation of iron-rich titanium gypsum through a two-step neutralization reaction, preparation of building gypsum through a heat treatment method, and magnetic separation of the iron-rich titanium gypsum. Compared with a traditional waste acid one-step treatment method, the method has the advantages that the acid wastewater generated by a titanium dioxide factory can be effectively treated, and the yield of traditional high-iron-content titanium gypsum is greatly reduced.
