The invention relates to a suspension bridge main cable strand multi-point transverse moving erecting method through independent cables. The method comprises the steps that a catwalk is erected below a main cable; a traction system is erected above the main cable; a plurality of cable strand rollers are arranged in the catwalk, and the traction system pulls the cable strands to move along the cable strand rollers; a plurality of cable strand bearing cables are erected on the catwalk at intervals in the bridge direction; a plurality of lifting and transverse moving devices are arranged on each strand bearing cable at intervals, the lifting and transverse moving devices serve as lifting point positions of the strands, and the lifting and transverse moving devices at the lifting point positions firstly transversely move to the position above the main cable after lifting the strands and then release the strands to enable the strands to fall into the main cable; and the steps are repeated until all the cable strands are erected. The cable strand bearing cable is arranged, the cable strand is borne by an independent cable structure in the process of being erected to the main cable, meanwhile, the multiple lifting point positions lift and transversely move the cable strand at intervals in the length direction of the cable strand, the time lag effect during midspan cable strand erection is eliminated, and it is ensured that the cable strand is not loosened or twisted.
