The invention discloses a preparation method of environment-friendly aerogel particles for aerogel mortar. The preparation method comprises the following steps: putting wet gel particles and a drying medium into a drying kettle; the wet gel is composed of a gel skeleton and an in-hole solvent, the in-hole solvent is single or mixed alcohol, and the hole size is in a micro-nano scale; the drying medium is single or mixed alcohol; the purpose of removing residual impurities in aerogel particles is achieved by replacing residual alcohols and by-product gases in aerogel holes with inactive gas of which the free path is greater than the nano aperture of the aerogel. The prepared silicon dioxide aerogel particles have remarkable advantages in the aspect of environmental protection, and have the characteristics of low heat conductivity coefficient, light weight, heat insulation, hydrophobicity and the like, so that the silicon dioxide aerogel particles have wide application prospects and environmental protection benefits in environment-friendly mortar in the building field.
