The invention discloses a formwork system for steel reinforced concrete construction and a construction method. The formwork system comprises an arc-shaped wood formwork attached to the outer wall of a reinforcing mesh of a steel reinforced concrete column to be constructed and a round-to-square reinforcing body attached to the outer wall of the arc-shaped wood formwork. Two first opposite-pull screw rods penetrate through the round-to-square reinforcing body from the first side to the second side, one first opposite-pull screw rod is located on the first side of profile steel of the to-be-constructed steel reinforced concrete column, and the other first opposite-pull screw rod is located on the second side of the profile steel of the to-be-constructed steel reinforced concrete column; two second opposite-pull screw rods penetrate through the third side to the fourth side of the round-to-square reinforcing body, one second opposite-pull screw rod is located on the third side of the profile steel of the to-be-constructed steel reinforced concrete column, and the other second opposite-pull screw rod is located on the fourth side of the profile steel of the to-be-constructed steel reinforced concrete column. On the premise that the wood formwork is adopted, formwork system erecting is achieved, the construction cost is reduced, and the stability and the construction efficiency of the formwork system are improved.
