The invention discloses hydraulic formwork lifting equipment for chimney construction and a construction method. The hydraulic formwork lifting equipment comprises a plurality of radiation beams erected at the top of a chimney, the inner ends of the radiation beams are connected with bases, the peripheries of the radiation beams are provided with diameter adjusting devices, the diameter adjusting devices are connected with a plurality of climbing jacks, and the climbing jacks are connected to climbing steel pipes of the chimney. Outer ring beams are connected to the peripheries of all the radiation beams, middle ring beams are connected to the positions, close to the inner sides, of the radiation beams, drum rings are connected to the inner ends of the radiation beams, bed boards are laid on the radiation beams and located between the drum rings and the middle ring beams, and an operation platform is formed. The bottom of each diameter adjusting device is connected with an annular inner lifting platform, the bottoms of the outer ends of the radiation beams are connected with an upper layer outer hanging frame and a lower layer outer hanging frame, the outer hanging frames are located outside the chimney, and the inner lifting platforms are located inside the chimney. The whole platform is lifted through the climbing jack, and the positions of the inner lifting platform and the outer hanging frame are adjusted through the diameter adjusting device, so that the inner lifting platform and the outer hanging frame move inwards to adapt to a chimney with the diameter gradually reduced.
