The invention discloses a prefabricated square culvert with a joist and a mounting process method of the prefabricated square culvert, relates to a prefabricated concrete square culvert with a joist, and further relates to the mounting process method of the prefabricated square culvert. The problems that a prefabricated square culvert is difficult to manufacture, transport and install, the material strength is not fully exerted, and a prestressed tie bar is subjected to fatigue damage after multiple sections of square culverts bear heavy loads for multiple times are solved. The square culvert comprises an upper cross beam, a middle retaining wall, a lower beam, a plurality of culvert body pipe joints, a plurality of prestressed tie bars and a plurality of high-strength bolts. The culvert body structure further comprises two joists, the two joists are attached to the lower surfaces of the culvert body pipe joints side by side, and the two ends of each joist are installed in the grooves reserved in the two lower beams respectively. The installation process method comprises the steps of prefabricated part position installation, bolt connection, prestress setting and the like. The wall thickness of the culvert body pipe joint of the prefabricated square culvert is reduced, so that the problem that the square culvert is difficult to manufacture, transport and install is solved; when a load is borne, the joists and the prestressed tie bars are stressed together.
