The invention discloses a self-resetting friction shock insulation support which comprises a bearing plate A, a bearing plate B, a movable end plate, an SMA screw and a friction core column and has good vertical compression resistance and tension resistance. Under the simultaneous action of vertical and horizontal loads, friction force is generated between the core column friction surfaces of the friction core columns and the supporting plate, and energy is consumed; the horizontal displacement of the friction core column drives the movable end plate to move, so that the SMA screw rod on which the design prestress is applied is stretched, the design prestress not only provides a part of initial bearing force, but also promotes the friction core column to restore to the initial position after the horizontal load is removed, and a good self-resetting function is achieved. Particularly, the friction coefficient can be designed to be a constant friction coefficient or a variable friction coefficient, different energy dissipation capacities are provided, and the multi-target cooperative damping control requirements of the engineering structure in multiple aspects such as the bearing capacity, the energy dissipation capacity and the reset capacity can be met.
