The invention relates to the technical field of ardealite resource utilization, in particular to a semi-hydrated ardealite whitening method. The invention provides a semi-hydrated ardealite whitening method, which comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing ardealite original slag powder with a cosolvent (ammonium bifluoride, barium chloride, ammonium chloride and boric acid), calcining at 120-160 DEG C, cooling to obtain ardealite with high whiteness, and reacting ions with the cosolvent to avoid generation of other compounds. The whiteness of the phosphogypsum is effectively improved, and meanwhile, the phosphogypsum is dehydrated in the calcining process, so that the whitened semi-hydrated gypsum is obtained. The method is simple and easy to implement, the amount of the needed cosolvent is small, the whiteness effect of the phosphogypsum is remarkable, the whiteness is improved from about 46.7% to 90% or above, and the content of semi-hydrated phosphogypsum is 90% or above. The semi-hydrated phosphogypsum is short in setting and hardening time and relatively high in strength, can be used for handicrafts, architectural costumes, interior and exterior decoration of buildings and the like, and has a wide application prospect.
