The settlement observation method comprises the steps that a plurality of vertical grouting pipes are pre-buried in the road line direction at equal intervals, grouting holes for grouting are formed in the grouting pipes, the pipe tops of the grouting pipes are buried in a pavement surface layer, and the pipe bottoms of the grouting pipes are buried above the new and old roadbed junction; inserting a vertical bar material into each pre-buried grouting pipe, so that the lower end of the bar material extends into the old roadbed, and the upper end of the bar material extends out of the pavement; the road surface at the upper end of the vertical rib material is marked by paint and the like to form scale marks parallel to the road surface; after a period of time, the vertical distance between the pipe top of each grouting pipe and the scale marks marked on the steel bars in the grouting pipe is measured; if the measured distance is greatly changed compared with the initial state, judging that the newly-built roadbed is settled; the purposes that the pavement does not need to be damaged, and the grouting pipe can be filled with concrete for hardening treatment after settlement observation has no problems are achieved; the method is suitable for various new and old junction roads and is widely used.
