The invention provides an air bag launching method for a tidewater-assisted steel open caisson, and relates to the technical field of bridge construction, the air bag launching method for the tidewater-assisted steel open caisson comprises the steps that a ramp is constructed beside a water area, and the height of the front end of the ramp is higher than the low tide level of the water area and lower than the high tide level of the water area; when the water area is located at the low tide level, an open caisson is lowered through a traction system so that the open caisson can move along the ramp till the open caisson reaches the front end of the ramp; and when the water area rises from the low tide level to the high tide level, traction of the traction system to the open caisson is cut off, so that the open caisson continuously goes deep into the water area to complete launching. The tidewater floating-assisting steel open caisson air bag launching method can be suitable for overweight open caissons.
