The invention relates to a clamp device (2) for fixing a slot (4) to a table (6), in which the clamp device (2) is adapted to be connected to the slot (4) and comprises a clamp (8) 5 adapted to engage with the table (6). The gripper device (2) is adapted to move the gripper (8) between an inoperative position and an operative position. The clamping piece (8) is in a retracted state in the non-working position and in an extended state in the working position. The gripper device (2) is adapted to hold the gripper (8) in the inoperative position such that the gripper device (2) can be connected to the slot (4) during movement of the slot towards a desired position relative to the opening (10) of the table (6). The gripper device (2) is adapted to move the gripper (8) from the inoperative position towards the operative position when the slot (4) is in a desired position relative to the table (6).
