The invention provides a foldable guide beam which comprises two guide beam bodies, each guide beam body comprises a guide beam front section and a guide beam rear section, the guide beam front section is connected with a front section connecting node, the guide beam rear section is connected with a rear section connecting node, and the front section connecting node and the rear section connecting node are connected through a preset rotating hinge in a hinged mode. A supporting truss is hinged to the top of the rear section connecting joint, the top of the supporting truss is connected with a control pulley, the control pulley is connected with a front guide beam section and a rear guide beam section through steel strands, and a telescopic oil cylinder mechanism is connected between the front guide beam section and the rear guide beam section in a driving mode. The invention further provides a construction method of the foldable guide beam.
