The invention belongs to the technical field of river regulation, and particularly relates to a river sediment dredging and dewatering method and system.The river sediment dredging and dewatering system comprises a stirring barrel, a sludge settling pond, a liquid homogenizing pond and a liquid outlet pond which are sequentially connected end to end, and the stirring barrel is located at the foremost end and connected with the sludge settling pond through a discharging pipe; the sludge sedimentation tank, the liquid homogenizing tank and the liquid outlet tank are separated by partition plates and are communicated with one another, and the sludge sedimentation tank is communicated with the liquid homogenizing tank through a discharge port; the dredging bottom mud dewatering and drying device adopting cofferdam, pool building, suction, chemical adding and stirring, standing and water draining and curing has continuity and high construction efficiency, whole-process closed treatment is achieved, secondary pollution is effectively avoided, reinforced agglomeration and rapid sedimentation of dredging mud are achieved by adopting an efficient ionic polymeric flocculant, and the quality of the dredged mud is improved. Meanwhile, COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and total phosphorus in the water can be synchronously adsorbed and removed, and ammonia nitrogen in the residual water is further removed by adding sodium hypochlorite into the homogenizing tank.
