The invention provides glass powder and a preparation method thereof, and an atomizing core and a preparation method thereof, the glass powder comprises silicon oxide, a main softener and an auxiliary softener, the main softener comprises at least one of boron oxide, zinc oxide and bismuth oxide, and the auxiliary softener comprises at least one of potassium oxide and lithium oxide. The main softener and the auxiliary softener are mainly used for reducing the softening point of the glass powder, so that the glass powder has a low softening point, and the softening temperature of the glass powder is reduced. Wherein the main softener plays a main role in reducing the softening temperature, and the auxiliary softener plays a secondary role and an auxiliary role in reducing the softening temperature. And the silicon oxide, the main softener and the auxiliary softener are matched with one another, so that the expansion coefficient of the glass powder can be reduced, and the strength of the glass powder can be improved. The glass powder provided by the invention has the characteristics of low softening point, low expansion coefficient and high strength, and can reduce the sintering temperature and shrinkage rate of the atomizing core and improve the strength of the atomizing core during subsequent preparation of the atomizing core.
