The invention discloses a cable trench drainage system and drainage method, and the system comprises a cable trench, the bottom wall of which is provided with a water collection trench extending along the length direction of the cable trench; the drainage channels are arranged on one side of the cable channel side by side; a plurality of water guide pipes are arranged at intervals along the length direction of the cable channel, and water outlets of the water guide pipes are communicated to the drainage channel; the drainage vehicle is arranged in the cable channel and can walk in the length direction of the cable channel; a water level detection unit, a visual detection unit, a water pumping unit and a control unit are arranged on the drainage vehicle; the water level detection unit can be used for detecting the water level of the water collecting groove, the visual detection unit can be used for detecting a cable in a cable channel and determining the position of a water guide pipe, the water pumping unit comprises a water pump, a water inlet pipe and a water drainage pipe, and accumulated water in the water collecting groove can be pumped into the water guide pipe through the water pumping unit; and the water guide pipe guides the accumulated water to the drainage channel for drainage. According to the scheme, only one water pump needs to be arranged, equipment cost is obviously lower, and maintenance is more convenient.
