The invention relates to the technical field of wetland protection and restoration, and provides a terrace type lakeside wetland ecological restoration mode which comprises an aquatic plant area, a hygrophyte area and a terrestrial plant area, the aquatic plant area is located in a lake water area, the aquatic plant area is provided with a planting device used for planting aquatic plants, and the terrestrial plant area is provided with a terrestrial plant area. The planting device is used for planting submerged plants which are resistant to water humidity and pollution and are planted below a high water level, and a herbaceous plant group which is high in water purification capacity and has a silt filtering function is formed; the aquatic plant area, the hygrophyte area and the terrestrial plant area are arranged, and aquatic plants (such as hornwort and watermifoil) are planted, so that nutrient substances (such as nitrogen and phosphorus) and heavy metal ions in water are effectively absorbed, and the eutrophication risk of the water body is reduced; the root systems of the hygrophytes can release oxygen, so that the activity of aerobic microorganisms is promoted, and the water quality is further purified.
