The invention discloses a method for drought control of spartina alterniflora and belongs to the technical field of ecological environment engineering. The method comprises the steps that firstly, a cofferdam is built on the side, close to the ocean, of a spartina alterniflora growing area, then excavated sludge mixed with the spartina alterniflora is used for building raised fields, the tops and the side edges of the raised fields are thickly coated with the sludge, deep ditches are dug between the raised fields and are completed when the rainy season ends and before the dry season comes, and after the dry season ends, the remaining spartina alterniflora on the tops of the raised fields is dug away; and finally, recovering the region by using a large tide. According to the method, the growth habit that the spartina alterniflora loves wet and is afraid of drought is utilized, a drought environment is created through engineering measures, water obtaining of the spartina alterniflora is inhibited, and small-scale spartina alterniflora digging after the dry season is completed is assisted, so that removal is achieved.
