The invention relates to a fire extinguishing protection system for a highway bridge pier and a bridge protection system thereof. The fire extinguishing protection system comprises a fire detection device, two spraying devices, a power system and a control system, the fire detection device comprises a smoke sensor and a temperature sensor; the spraying device comprises a spraying head and a fire extinguishing agent container, and a first valve is arranged between the fire extinguishing agent container and the spraying head; the power system comprises a liquid container filled with liquid and two piston cylinders, pistons are arranged in the piston cylinders, and the liquid in the liquid container is gasified and expanded between 45 DEG C and 75 DEG C so as to push the pistons to move in the piston cylinders; the control system is used for controlling opening and closing of the first valve and the second valve according to the obtained information. The smoke sensor and the temperature sensor are arranged, a fire extinguishing agent is driven to be sprayed out from the spray head by utilizing the characteristic that liquid is heated and gasified, the fire situation can be treated in time, and damage to the bridge pier is reduced.
