The invention provides concrete aggregate as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of building materials. The concrete aggregate comprises a first inner core and a second inner core, wherein the first inner core comprises composite phase change material particles and a porous cement-based material; the first shell layer is formed on the outer surface of the first inner core, and the first shell layer comprises a cement-based packaging material; wherein the composite phase change material particle comprises a second inner core, the second inner core comprises an inorganic hydrated salt phase change material and a porous medium material, and the inorganic hydrated salt phase change material is loaded in pores of the porous medium material; the second shell layer is formed on the outer surface of the second inner core, and the second shell layer sequentially comprises a hydrophobic layer, a polymer layer and a hydrophilic layer from inside to outside. A dehydration channel of the inorganic hydrated salt phase change material is effectively blocked by utilizing a double-shell structure, and the thermal performance of the concrete aggregate is improved.
