The invention relates to a concrete column section increasing reinforcing structure and a construction method thereof. The concrete column section increasing reinforcing structure comprises an original concrete column, newly-added vertical load-bearing steel bars, newly-added stirrups, a newly-added reinforced concrete surface layer and newly-added foundation bent bars. The diameter of the newly added vertical stressed steel bar is phi 14; the diameter of the newly added stirrup is not less than phi 8; the strength of the newly-added reinforced concrete surface layer is not smaller than the concrete strength of an original concrete column and an original foundation and is not lower than C30. The diameter phi of the newly added basic bending rib is not less than 12; the method has the most remarkable advantages that the concrete columns are adopted to enlarge the cross section to reinforce the structure, the overall shock resistance of the original structure can be improved, new and old structures jointly bear the earthquake action, and therefore the toughness of a house is enhanced, and structural collapse is prevented.
