In a roof window (1), each window frame member (31, 32) comprises a profile element (31a, 32a), an inner element (32c) and an intermediate element (31b, 32b) which forms a connection between the profile element and the inner element of each window frame member in the assembled state of the window frame (3). In the assembled state of the window frame (3), the profile elements (31a, 32a) of the window frame members (31, 32) are positioned along respective outer edge portions of the pane (4), and the profile elements (31a, 32a) of the top window frame member (31) and of the two side window frame members (32) are formed as a set of longitudinal profiles having substantially uniform cross sections.
