The door and window is formed by connecting frame bodies (10A, 10C) in which panels (24, P2) are arranged side by side, and in the frame bodies (10A), pressing edges (25) supporting the edge parts of the outdoor surface of the panels (24) and inner peripheral side edge parts (25a, 23b) of vertical frames (23) are arranged at the following positions in the depth direction, namely, the pressing edges (25) and the inner peripheral side edge parts (25a, 23b) of the vertical frames (23) are arranged in the depth direction, and the pressing edges (25) and the inner peripheral side edge parts (25a, 23b) of the vertical frames (23) are arranged in the depth direction. The frame body (10A, 10C) has a position identical to an inner peripheral edge portion (15m) of a main view surface of the vertical frame (15) facing indoors and closer to an outer peripheral side than an inner peripheral edge portion (14f) of the vertical frame (14), and is provided with engagement pieces (15i, 44i) on adjacent vertical frames (15, 44) of the frame body (10A, 10C), the engagement pieces (15i, 44i) extending in the direction of the main view surface from mutually opposed depth surfaces and then bending and extending in the depth direction. Adjacent vertical frames (15, 44) are prevented from moving in directions away from each other by engaging an engagement piece (15i) provided on the other vertical frame (15) between an engagement piece (44i) provided on one vertical frame (44) and the depth surface.
