The invention relates to the technical field of secondary energy-saving water supply, in particular to an intelligent energy-saving pressure regulating system and method for a water supply pump group, and the method comprises the steps: collecting the water pressure value of a water supply end and the water pressure values of all water consumption ends of each floor, and storing the collected data in a database; according to the collected water pressure value, whether the current period is a water consumption peak period or not is judged, if yes, a pressure compensation value is calculated and output, and pressurization operation is executed; otherwise, judging whether the water using end of the floor needing water supply meets the large-flow requirement or not, and if yes, cooperatively supplying water to the water using end through the pressurized water tank of the floor where the water using end is located and the pressurized water tanks of the upper and lower floors; otherwise, the pressurized water tank on the floor where the water using end is located independently supplies water. The secondary pressurization water supply system can effectively solve the problem that an existing secondary pressurization water supply system is large in energy waste.
