The invention relates to a preparation method of coal gangue autoclaved aerated concrete and application of a modifier of the coal gangue autoclaved aerated concrete. The modifier comprises one or a combination of more of silica fume, silica sol, sodium tripolyphosphate and the like. The invention relates to coal gangue autoclaved aerated concrete. The coal gangue autoclaved aerated concrete is prepared from the following raw materials: coal gangue accounting for more than 50% of the total mass of the raw materials of the coal gangue autoclaved aerated concrete. The invention relates to a method for preparing autoclaved aerated concrete from coal gangue, which comprises the following steps: step 1, carrying out decarburization treatment on the coal gangue, the decarburization treatment comprising photoelectric separation and/or washing flotation; after decarburization treatment, the carbon content of the gangue is below 7%; and step 2, mixing and stirring the raw materials of the coal gangue autoclaved aerated concrete, and then carrying out pouring and standing, cutting and demolding, pre-curing in front of a kettle and autoclaved curing to obtain the autoclaved aerated concrete. According to the method disclosed by the invention, through multi-stage decarburization and single-doping and multi-doping composite doping regulator, the influence of low carbon content and coal gangue activity can be greatly shielded or reduced, and the compressive strength of the product is improved.
