The invention provides a variable cross-section continuous beam trial assembly method. The variable cross-section continuous beam is provided with a staggered slab and a corner at the beam section connecting position. The variable cross-section continuous beam trial assembly method comprises the following steps that the state considering the elevation and the pre-camber after bridge forming is defined as a first state; in the first state, the line shape of the beam section with the staggered slab and the corner is adjusted to be a smooth transition curve, and a second state is formed; in the second state, the main longitudinal beams are horizontally arranged and continuously matched and spliced; in the first state, the cross beams, the cross braces and the small longitudinal beams are assembled in a matched mode; defining the state of the beam section in the vertical position state after down-warping due to self weight as a third state; and in the third state, the main longitudinal beams, the cross beams, the cross braces and the small longitudinal beams are spliced. According to the variable cross-section continuous beam trial assembly method, trial assembly of the beam sections with staggered platforms and corners at the splicing positions can be facilitated.
