The invention provides a bridge main cable detecting and repairing device which comprises a detecting part arranged on a main cable body, moving parts arranged on two handrail ropes on the main cable body, horizontal adjusting assemblies connected between the moving parts and the detecting part and supporting assemblies installed on the moving parts. According to the bridge main cable detection and repair device, two detection semi-rings and two connection semi-rings in the detection part can rotate on the surface of a main cable main body, so that the detection range of the surface of the main cable main body can be effectively expanded; and the repairing assembly can be controlled to rotate outside the main cable body, the repairing range is guaranteed, dead angles of detection and repairing are avoided, the detection and repairing quality of the main cable body is guaranteed, dust generated during repairing and polishing cannot interfere with detection, and the detection quality of a follow-up detection part on the main cable body is further improved.
