The invention discloses a novel retaining structure, namely a herringbone unloading conversion plate type retaining structure, which comprises a supporting foundation, the top of the supporting foundation is provided with a supporting panel which is obliquely arranged in the direction of a fill slope, and the rear side of the supporting panel is provided with an unloading conversion plate. Compared with the prior art, the device has the advantages that the unloading conversion plate structure is used for converting the soil pressure direction, so that a soil body on the unloading conversion plate tends to move inwards, and reverse downward sliding force acts on the plate. The original on-board soil body which is not beneficial to slope stability is changed into one part of the filling slope, and the on-board soil body and the filling slope jointly resist natural stable soil body of soil pressure. The retaining structure is clear in soil pressure stress mechanism, simple in theoretical calculation, simple in supporting structure construction, convenient to take materials, convenient to transport and install, low in manufacturing cost, suitable for large and small working faces, short in construction period, and suitable for working conditions such as poor soil conditions; the lateral displacement of the foundation pit and the side slope is reduced, the stability is improved, and the method is subversive innovation for the traditional filling side slope design and calculation theory.
