Provided is a reducing slag treatment material containing a large amount of [gamma] C2S and/or magnesium-calcium stone as a main component. The reducing slag treatment material is a composition which is obtained by treating reducing slag discharged from an electric furnace, and which contains [gamma] C2S and/or magnesium-calcium stone (3CaO. MgO. 2SiO2) as the main component. The reducing slag treatment material has an average particle diameter of 0.6 mm or less and has a particle size distribution in which 80% or more of the total weight of the reducing slag treatment material can pass through a sieve having a mesh size of 0.6 mm when the reducing slag treatment material is sieved using a JIS standard sieve (JIS Z8801-1: 2000).
