The invention relates to the technical field of cabinet door hinges, and particularly discloses a hinge for a cabinet and the cabinet which uses the hinge for the cabinet and is provided with a side-hung cabinet door. The hinge for the cabinet is at least provided with four connecting rods, the second connecting rod and the third connecting rod are respectively provided with two connecting arms forming an included angle of 100-170 degrees, and the middle portions of the connecting arms of the second connecting rod and the third connecting rod are hinged to each other and form a symmetrical cross style with the cabinet door and the two sides of the cabinet body as left and right mirror images. One end connecting arm of the second connecting rod is hinged to the cabinet door, and the other end connecting arm is hinged to a fourth connecting rod and hinged to the cabinet body through the fourth connecting rod; one end connecting arm of the third connecting rod is hinged to the cabinet body, and the other end connecting arm is hinged to the first connecting rod and hinged to the cabinet door through the first connecting rod; the third connecting rod and the fourth connecting rod and/or the first connecting rod and the second connecting rod abut against each other to limit the opening angle when the hinge is opened in place. According to the hinge for the cabinet, a special four-connecting-rod mechanism is adopted, the overall thickness of the hinge is smaller, and the hinge is very suitable for being installed on a cabinet plate for use.
