Die Erfindung betrifft ein Bügelschloss mit einem Schlosskörper und einem Bügel, der relativ zu dem Schlosskörper zwischen einer Öffnungsstellung und einer Schließstellung bewegbar ist, wobei in dem Schlosskörper ein Riegel angeordnet ist, welcher wahlweise in eine Entriegelungsstellung oder in eine Verriegelungsstellung bewegbar ist, wobei der Riegel den Bügel an dem Schlosskörper verriegelt, wenn der Bügel sich in der Schließstellung befindet und der Riegel sich in der Verriegelungsstellung befindet. Der Riegel ist an einem um eine Schwenkachse schwenkbaren Schwenkhebel befestigt und zwischen der Entriegelungsstellung und der Verriegelungsstellung durch eine Schwenkbewegung des Schwenkhebels bewegbar.
