Ein Positionier- und/oder Verriegelungsantrieb für einen Flügel eines Fensters, einer Tür oder dergleichen umfasst ein Gehäuse, einen eine Antriebseinheit und eine Getriebeeinheit umfassenden Getriebemotor, eine elektronische Steuerungseinrichtung zur Ansteuerung des Getriebemotors und ein durch den Getriebemotor beaufschlagbares, mit dem Flügel bzw. einer diesem zugeordneten Verriegelungseinrichtung koppelbaren oder gekoppelten Abtriebselement, dessen Geschwindigkeit und/oder Position durch die elektronische Steuerungseinrichtung unter Heranziehung von über eine relative oder inkrementale Wegmesseinrichtung erfassten jeweiligen relativen Positionen des Abtriebselements steuer- und/oder regelbar ist. Zudem umfasst der Antrieb eine absolute Wegmesseinrichtung zur Erfassung jeweiliger absoluter Positionen des Abtriebselements, wobei die relative bzw. inkrementelle Wegmesseinrichtung durch die Steuerungseinrichtung automatisch über die absolute Wegmesseinrichtung kalibrierbar ist.
