Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer beschichteten Spanplatte (9), wobei die Spanplatte (9) in einem ersten Schritt (S1) kontinuierlich und gleichzeitig beidseitig mit melamingetränktem Papier (90) und einem Funktionsträgermaterial (91) belegt wird, wobei das melamingetränkte Papier (90) und das Funktionsträgermaterial (91) kontinuierlich und gleichzeitig von jeweils zwei Rollen (10) und (11) auf die Spanplatte (9) aufgelegt werden. Die Erfindung betrifft außerdem eine Anlage zur Durchführung des vorstehenden Verfahrens und zur Herstellung einer beschichteten Spanplatte (9), wobei die Anlage zum kontinuierlichen Betrieb der Anlage und zur kontinuierlichen Durchführung des Verfahrens jeweils eine geeignete Funktionsträgermaterial- und Papierabwicklungseinrichtung (1), eine geeignete Schneideinrichtung (2), eine geeignete Presse (3), und eine geeignete Funktionsträgermaterialabzugseinrichtung (4) aufweist.
