Eine hierin offenbarte Seitentür ist eine Seitentür (20) für ein Fahrzeug (10) und umfasst eine Innenplatte (58), einen Türgriff (50), der an der Innenplatte (58) befestigt und von einem Nutzer betätigbar ist, eine Außenplatte (56), die die Innenplatte (58) von einer Außenseite des Fahrzeugs (10) abdeckt und eine Öffnung (30) aufweist, die den Türgriff (50) freilegt, und eine Abdeckung (52), die an der Innenplatte (58) befestigt ist und die Öffnung (30) der Außenplatte (56) zumindest teilweise verschließt. In der Abdeckung (52) ist zumindest in Fahrzeug-Vorne-Hinten-Richtung vor und hinter dem Türgriff (50) ein Vorsprung (54) vorgesehen, der in einen Raum zwischen dem Türgriff (50) und der Außenplatte (56) hervorsteht.
