Ein Fahrzeug beinhaltet eine Stützstruktur. Das Fahrzeug beinhaltet zudem eine Seitentür, die dazu betreibbar ist, sich relativ zu der Stützstruktur zwischen einer offenen Position und einer geschlossenen Position zu bewegen. In der offenen Position der Seitentür wird Zugriff auf einen Fahrzeuginnenraum des Fahrzeugs bereitgestellt. In der geschlossenen Position der Seitentür erstreckt sich die Seitentür über eine Längsmittellinie des Fahrzeugs. Das Fahrzeug beinhaltet ferner eine Vielzahl von Schwenkelementen, wobei jedes an einem ersten Ende schwenkbar an die Stützstruktur gekoppelt ist und an einem zweiten Ende schwenkbar an die Seitentür gekoppelt ist. Die Seitentür ist über eine Schwenkbewegung jedes der Vielzahl von Schwenkelementen relativ zu der Stützstruktur und eine Schwenkbewegung der Seitentür relativ zu jedem der Vielzahl von Schwenkelementen zwischen der offenen und der geschlossenen Position bewegbar.
