The invention relates to a method for producing a hydraulic setting material suspension and a composition for such a hydraulic setting material suspension. Said material suspension is preferably prepared using light-weight porous aggregates and is therefore suitable as a structurally dense light-weight material in structural engineering. The invention further relates to a structural component produced using a hydraulic setting material suspension. The method for producing a hydraulic setting material suspension comprises the following steps: in a first step, a mass fraction of a fine grain composition which has a mass fraction of at least 50% of a hydraulic binder and/or latent hydraulic binder, and a dispersant which has a mass fraction of at least 0.5% in relation to the mass fraction of the fine grain composition is suspended to a base suspension with water which has a mass fraction of less than 40%, under the action of the shearing forces of a mixing tool. The base suspension thus prepared is homogenized to a material suspension in a second step, using at least one porous light-weight material component, a mass fraction of at least 5% of the porous light-weight material component being maintained in the material suspension.
