The door has a handle (6) provided with a movable handle part (6a) and arranged at a plate-shaped base component. A coupling unit (21) is connected with the handle part that is pivotable relative to the base component by the coupling unit based on movement of the door. The coupling unit comprises a single-barreled cable (22) that is handle part-sidedly connected with an end (26) of a return spring (25), where another end (27) of the return spring is handle part-externally arranged. The former end of the return spring is firmly connected with a holding element (24). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a household appliance (2) a method for moving a handle of a door of a household appliance.
