The invention relates to a mobile floor-cleaning machine (10; 120; 130; 140; 150) having a chassis (14) and having a brush roller (42) which can be driven in rotation and which projects at least on one of its end sides (72) laterally beyond the contour of the chassis (14). In order to develop the floor-cleaning machine in such a way that it achieves a good cleaning result even in edge regions of a floor surface (94), wherein it requires a small overall size, it is proposed according to the invention that the at least one brush roller (72) has a frustoconical roller part (46) with a cone axis which is oriented obliquely with respect to the horizontal and which forms the axis of rotation (58) of the frustoconical roller part (46).
