A snow plow (10) includes a control unit (81) for controlling a raising/lowering drive mechanism (18) so that an auger housing (21) becomes horizontal, a relative angle detection unit (85) for detecting the angle ( ² hr) of the auger housing (21) relative to a travel frame (12), and a horizontal detection unit (83) for detecting the horizontal state of the auger housing (21). The control unit (81) stops the raising/lowering drive mechanism (18) when the control unit (81) assess that either a first condition or a second condition is satisfied, the first condition being that the relative angle ( ² hr) be zero and the second condition being that the auger housing (21) be horizontal.
