A multi-link hinge, for the articulation of a door of a kitchen appliance, preferably for a laterally opening door, comprising - a first mounting part and a second mounting part, - at least two hinge links, preferably a first hinge link and a second hinge link, for connecting the first mounting part to the second mounting part, and wherein the first hinge link is connected to the first mounting part pivotable about a first axis, wherein the first hinge link is connected to the second mounting part pivotable about a second axis, wherein the second hinge link is connected to the first mounting part pivotable about a third axis, wherein the second hinge link is connected to the second mounting part pivotable about a fourth axis, and wherein the first hinge link comprises an opening, and, preferably, wherein in a maximum opening position the third axis is in or moved through the opening of the first hinge link.
