The invention relates to a barb clip that can be installed on an erected wire fence. The barb clip (20) comprises a mounting portion (24) designed to be fixed about a wire intersection (10) of the wire fence. In one embodiment, the barb clip consists of a length of wire (22) shaped in such a way as to engage intersecting wire portions. The wire is configured such that, upon mounting on the fence, one or both wire free ends form a barb end (30) protruding substantially perpendicularly to the fence.
